Outreach
Ministries
Outreach
at St. Madeleine’s
Service to the
poor and advocacy on behalf of justice is a major ministry at St.
Madeleine Sophie. Catholics
put their faith into action in helping to continue Christ’s
mission on Earth.
Getting
Involved in Outreach
In addition to
donating food, money, etc. many parishioners seek out a way to get
more involved. Many
volunteer opportunities await new workers, either serving behind the
scenes or with direct person-to-person contact. Most who have an initial experience of helping those less
fortunate say that it was richly satisfying and a most meaningful
expression of their faith.

The St. Vincent de Paul
Society
As the principal
person-to-person, charitable hands and heart of our parish, the
volunteers of St. Vincent de Paul reach out and respond to those in
our area who are in greatest financial need.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a worldwide movement of
parish volunteer groups. Members
respond to all who need help and are living within the boundaries of
the parish, without regard to race or religious denomination.
Funding to enable
the Society to do all that it can comes from the parish collections
of Thanksgiving Day, Holy Thursday and Good Friday and from other
parish sources.
