St. Madeleine Sophie Parish
Online Memorial Book for
Karen Pasqualetto
The purpose of this memorial book is to provide a way for
friends and relatives of the deceased and their families to
express their condolences and prayers.
My gift
to you is to convey my perspective, to enable you to:
find
your priorities and live your life in the present, value
your family, your faith, your community celebrate the gifts
that God has given you..
and
know that they come from God.
Be
thankful.
Be as
the Samaritan in the Gospel.

I knew Karen through an
internet support group for colo-rectal cancer patients, “The
Colon Club”. I am devastated to hear she has passed. She
fought so hard to stay with her family and was such an
inspiration to us all. I just want to say I’m sorry to hear
of this terrible loss and that my thoughts and prayers are
with her family. I hope her daughter learns as she grows
older how much her mother loved her and fought so hard to
stay alive.

Karen and I met at Mater
Dei High School in Orange County, CA. She was a dear friend
of mine then and for all the years after. As with many good
friendships, there were times where were out of touch and
then, when we would reconnect, it was like we could just
pick up where we left off. She had a way of making anyone
laugh. I will never, ever forget her and am so proud to
call her my friend. She was so brave in her valiant fight
against cancer and so graceful in her suffering. I know
that she is at peace now. I pray for all her family and
other friends at this time.
I will truly miss Karen.

My family and I have been
travelling this summer and just heard about Karen’s
passing. Although I only met her briefly a few times, I
know how much she touched other’s lives. Our respectful
thoughts and prayers go out to her precious family. I will
pray for her soul in God’s keeping.
She was taken too young
and I am at a loss for words.
With deepest Sympathy,

I am so very sorry for
your loss. Although I knew Karen briefly, I can still
remember the first year St. Madeleine Sophie was open and I
would sit outside talking with Karen as she was with her
class. I enjoyed each time I talked with her. she was full
of light and beauty. I remember how she looked forward
to the birth of her little one. Know that she touched
so many lives and I feel so blessed to have even known her a
short time.
God Bless

Dear Pasqualetto family,
I cannot begin to tell you
how sorry I am for your incredible loss.
Karen was my
daughter-in-law for ten or more years; she was like a
daughter to me, and I shall never forget her very special
personality, her amazing brilliance and resourcefulness and
all the joy she brought to our family.
Her courage and
persistence in dealing with her illness were amazing and
will be in inspiration to others always; I know her spirit
lives on. If I can ever do anything to help any of you,
please let me know.
Love,
Barbara von Haunalter

"Karen
Pasqualetto was a wonderful daughter,
sister, friend and mother. I am grateful for
knowing her and being fortunate enough to
spend time with her. She will be greatly
missed, but we all can remember her by our
wonderful memories of her strong character,
caring nature and her everlasting
determination. My thoughts and prayers
go out to Karen's family during this trying
time."
Love always,

Karen has
been a fighter as long as I have known her. She has been so
brave and so strong throughout this journey, and I admire
her tremendously. She leaves behind a beautiful and loving
family, who are better people for knowing her and witnessing
her strength and character. I have never seen a more
well-behaved and happy baby than Isabel, and I have to
believe this is due to Karen's incredible mothering ability.
My thoughts and prayers
are with all of Karen's family at this time. Rest in peace
Karen.
Love,
