Who are Mothers &
Others?
The "Mom's" group at St. Madeleine's, "Mothers and
Others," warmly welcomes fathers, nannies, grandparents and
others who nurture young children. The mission of this peer support
ministry is to build community by focusing on:
Mothers & Others meets about 30 Mondays a year from September to June,
from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Koinonia Room of the
church. Quality childcare is available during our
meetings allowing our members time for adult
conversations and provides a supportive way to separate
child from parent. Loving arms hold babies and play with
young toddlers in our Nursery. Preschoolers work on
craft projects, sing songs, play games and hear stories
in a “Preschool-like” setting. Nursing babies or a quiet
child may stay in the meeting room. Childcare providers
arrive at 9:00 a.m. Please allow yourself time to get
your children settled in the childcare rooms.
Our group plans “Moms’ Night Out” monthly and provides meals for new
mothers and mothers who are ill or in crisis. Mothers &
Others is proud of the outreach support we provide to
aid local charities with cash, clothing, and equipment
donations. We have regularly purchased furnishings and
other necessities for the parish and continually work to
improve St Madeleine’s childcare facilities.
We warmly welcome anyone who nurtures
children to take advantage of our diverse program offerings. We look

To pay for our wonderful childcare, interesting speakers and outreach
projects, our members pay dues and our group
participates in fundraisers. “Drop-in” members pay $7
per meeting while “Committed” members may pay discounted
annual dues of $145 (by October 1) or $80 biannually (by
October 1 and February 1). For members not needing
childcare who pay in full by October 1, the dues are
$120 or $65 biannually (by October 1 and February 1).
All are welcome and scholarships are available. Contact
